For decades the evolution of technology and beauty treatments has been on the horizon. With 30 years experience, our company has taken a passionate and pioneering leap for the advanced education of a professionally trained staff to provide innovative laser technology for de-aging skin treatments by combining non ablative laser light, “soft touch” spa treatments and “active” home care. We are Memphis, TN most experience staff, serving clients in the MidSouth area since 1991.
Our expert staff has earned over 30 advanced laser clinical training certifications to operate and recommend laser treatments for women and men with even the most private and sensitive beauty concerns, representing over 200 hours of advanced laser training. Our strategic physician partnerships progress our clients to a safe, effectual and desired level of beauty therapy by combining Botox and dermal fillers and the best of in-office minimally invasive procedures. We offer many options to turn back the clock pre- and post plastic surgery.
“energies EXPLAINED” by Mona
Often used incorrectly, the term “laser” is actually an acronym for Light Amplification by the Stimulated Emission of Radiation. However today’s emerging energy-based offerings go beyond light-based technology and all “lasers” are not alike. Here’s a list of those used safely by trained laser staff at Mona Spa and Laser Center.
This invisible wavelength of light penetrates non-ablative heat into the skin for a sustained heat therapy that helps tighten loose skin. *3-D
INTENSE PULSED LIGHT (IPL)
IPL, employs a broad spectrum of scattered light (photo-flash), as opposed to a single wavelength emitted by lasers. IPL has “no social downtime” and is effective for minimizing skin redness, rosacea, and excess melanin (brown pigment) caused by sun damage. Higher IPL energy calibrations can retard and reduce unwanted hair re-growth.*3-D
Although not technically a laser, a light-emitting diode (LED) produces visible non-ablative light when an electrical current passes through it. LED is used to treat skin problems such as redness and acne.
No matter your age, gentle non-ablative laser refreshes your skin from the inside out. The laser energy heat creates millions of microscopic treatment zones in your skin, replacing damaged skin with healthy, vibrant skin. *3-D
Emitting a single (coherent) wavelength in four different spot sizes, our work horse laser is used safely for hair and small red vein removal and reduction, and calibrated to a gentle laser for skin rejuvenation for all skin types including skin of color, since 2002. Nd:YAG is an acronym for neodymium: doped yttrium aluminum garnet.*3-D
Unique to 10 year’s of skin resurfacing lasers is the micro peeling effect with the YSGG offering the ability to maximize outcomes and minimize downtime. The YSGG uses a unique wavelength that facilitates the proper balance of brown spot removal and thermal heat to the skin. YSGG is an acronym for Yttrium Scandium Gallium Garnet.
By combining two light technologies, a laser and a light, our therapy can modulate the skin function that traps toxins and simultaneously modify the permeability of toxic skin cells, allowing a change in skin smoothness without pain or damage. Photomology heat therapy can reduce muscle pain, induce relaxed sleep, and correct inflammation in the skin.
